About us & our signs

All of our signs are handcrafted in our workshop in the beautiful Royal Forest Of Dean.

 We only use the best hardwood and softwoods for our signs. Oak, beech and  local canadian pine, and douglas fir.

Our Exterior satin finish Varnish Gives long lasting

protection to all of our signs, allowing the natural grain to show through.

non-yellowing, resists cracking, peeling, blistering. Ultraviolet & fungicidal protection

The varnish has very little effect on the colour of the timber it is applied to.

 Your sign will be given 3 coats of Varnish.

 Danish Oil is a water-borne blend

 of natural plant oils and other special ingredients to nourish and protect all of our signs. It contains ultra violet light inhibitors to protect against sunlight.

The oil dries with a low lustre finish. It is a penetrating oil drying to a hard durable and water resistant seal that brings out the beauty of the grain within timber. It enhances the warmth and depth to hardwoods  surfaces.
